POLICE have caught up with one of Maribyrnong's youngest 'hoons' - a teenage boy who does not yet even have his L-plates.
The 15-year-old was in a car pulled over in Powell Street, Yarraville, on Friday night and is expected to be charged on summons for unlicensed driving.
On Saturday night he was a passenger in the car that was seized on the same street due to the 17-year-old driver having a disqualified licence.
Leading senior constable Chris Behrens, of the traffic management unit, said it was not often cars were seized in the city of Maribyrnong.
"If we do, it is usually someone passing through Footscray from Melton or Geelong into the city," he said.
"We don't have a major problem [with 'hoons'], but there are one or two people in particular who are the bane of our [TMU members'] existence.
"We are often getting complaints about burn-outs, but they usually disappear before we arrive."
